Hello, I'm Mat. My creative career began on the building sites of North Wales, where I worked as a carpenter. Here you'd find me transforming lengths of timber into floors, walls and other structural elements that help to form a house. On one particularly, rainy day I was constructing a roof. As my saw continuously jammed in the wet wood and the persistent rain soaked me to the bone, I realised this wasn't the life for me. So, I decided to down tools, pick up my pencil and see where my passion for drawing might take me. After landing a degree in Fine Art, followed by a Masters in Communication Design, I found myself walking into the offices of a London-based advertising agency. Since then, I've worked as a conceptor, copywriter and all-round creative chap for a range of clients in London and Hamburg. These include globally recognised brands, start-up companies and charities. I'm also still pretty handy with a piece of wood.
